Top US travel guru to showcase Donegal to 2million TV viewers

first_imgA popular US Travel Show is filming Donegal’s Northern Headlands to showcase to an audience of almost 2 million viewers.Samantha Brown’s brand new PBS travel show ‘Love of Travel’ is in Co. Donegal this week filming scenes for a Wild Atlantic Way episode which is set to air later this year. The visit, which will see Samantha Brown experience and film from Donegal’s Northern Headlands and Sligo’s Surf Coast, was organsied by Fáilte Ireland, in conjunction with Tourism Ireland.Pictured with Samantha Brown and her film crew at Sliabh League in Donegal is Paddy Clarke, Local Guide. Photo Clive WassonSamantha Brown’s ‘Love of Travel’ show seeks out little known spots and haunts where innovators and disruptors are creating a brand new travel experience. From food and drink, art and design, culture or adventure each episode focuses on not just how to visit a destination but how to belong to it. During her visit to Donegal, Samantha and her filming crew will explore Sliabh League; learn to weave at Eddie Doherty’s Handwoven Tweed Shop; enjoy horseback riding on Tullagh Bay Beach, pick up ‘cúpla focal’ in Gaeltacht area Gweedore, and meet with Mora Brennan of Clannad to discuss the importance of Irish music and enjoy a special performance from the local folk singer.Pictured with Samantha Brown at Sliabh League in Donegal are Liam Campbell, Failte Ireland and Paddy Clarke, Local Guide.
