(Photo by Steven Branscombe/Getty Images)Don’t let Nebraska’s record this season fool you, the future is certainly bright for the Cornhuskers. Although the program isn’t bowl eligible this year, the coaching staff is doing an excellent job in the recruiting department. The entire Huskers staff visited four-star defensive end Ty Robinson and four-star safety Noa Pola-Gates. With 22 commits already in its pocket, Nebraska continues to pursue talent for its defense.Robinson is listed as the No. 16 strong-side defensive end and Pola-Gates is considered the No. 18 defensive back in the class of 2019, according to 247Sports. The two blue chip players are both among the top five recruits in Arizona this year.Adding these two recruits would certainly help an already strong recruiting class, which is among the best in the Big Ten.Husker head coach Scott Frost and most of the staff are expected in the Phoenix area today where they will visit a pair of key targets in four-star defensive end Ty Robinson (Higley High) and defensive back Noa Pola-Gates (Williams Field). https://t.co/kgGA2MBeSx— Husker Extra (@huskerextra) December 13, 2018The final six games of the regular season were encouraging for the Cornhuskers, and this latest recruiting update just generates more optimism for the fans in Lincoln. It’ll be interesting to see if Nebraska can land either four-star recruit before the early signing period closes on Dec. 21.Stay tuned.[Lincoln Journal-Star]last_img read more
