President Donald Trump To Meet With FCS Champ North Dakota State

The Bison used a dominant performance against Eastern Washington to take home yet another title with a 38-24 win.As all national champions do, the Bison will now have the chance to meet with President Donald Trump. Clemson took a visit to the White House earlier this year after the team’s win over Alabama.Now it’s time for the Bison to make the trip to Washington D.C. North Dakota Senator John Hoeven made the announcement to the team last week after speaking with President Trump.According to the Duluth New Tribune, the team will meet with President Trump in early March.Trump will meet the Bison national championship team March 4 in a ceremony in the Rose Garden. Hoeven said he and Trump agreed to an event for the Bison football team “some time ago,” but held off in announcing it until last week.The Bison are scheduled to charter a plane to the nation’s capitol for a one-day trip – funded with private donations.North Dakota State players, coaches, administrators and those funding the trip will be in attendance at the celebration.[Duluth News Tribune]last_img
